WYANAD AND HER TRIBAL SONS
Nearly half of kerala’s tribal population live in wayanad. Prominently classified into paniya, adiya, kattunayka, kurichiya and kuruma.
It will be interesting to learn their special life style, culture, customs, traditions, religious practices etc. of particular mention are their indigenous streams of holistic herbal  medicine which is getting increasing attention in recent years.

FESTIVALS
History of the tribals of wayanad is closely connected with valliyurkav temple. The bonded labour of tribals of wayanad used to be fixed at the time of religious festivals in this temple. The two week long festival in February/ march is attended by hundreds of tribals.
